I just love the Holidays, don’t you? The bright fairy lights twinkling in Douglas firs, fragrant holiday spices wafting from bakeries and last but not least, all the holiday soirées!
Looking for a dress that fits perfectly off the rack is a little inside joke that department stores have on me. -_-
But this year, I found it, a beautiful little black dress from my favorite store Lulus, currently on sale! It fits in all the right places and flatters a petite frame. Also, in love with these Bow Pumps from Ann Taylor!
Classy Hepburn in the front
Sophisticated Monore in the back
The bodice of the dress is fastened by two discreet buttons, you can add your own button to the collar if you need to tighten it for a DIY fix.
The back of the dress has a concealed zipper giving it a polished seamless look. I can’t even with dresses that are sleek, only to have the illusion ruined by a shiny metal zipper running the full length of it. Does everyone have to know exactly how you got into a dress, keep some mystery, jeez.
Sizing:
The length of the dress hits right above the knee which is perfect for styling with over the knee boots or your favorite pair of heels, on me XS.
Material:
The dress is made from a blend of Rayon, Nylon and Spandex, while the lining is polyester. Making it thick enough to wear in the winter without loosing it’s shape.
How to Style:
I paired the dress with this maroon floppy hat from Target Tar-jay and these adorable pumps from AnnTaylor, right now 50% off!!!
I was finally able to get my hands on these adorable pumps during Ann Taylor’s Friends of Ann sale. In love with the chic little black bow. The perfect winter shoe accessory.
Pointed heels are a must have for petite girls, hammered into my head from the days of binge watching What Not To Wear, as they enlongate your legs (optical illusions at its best).
Comfort wise these heels don’t make my feet want to commit suicide, so yay, win! If I know I will be wearing them for an extended period of time, normally I use shoe inserts (similar to Dr.Scholl’s) for happy feet.
Sizing- I’m wearing a size 5, usually I run between a 5-51/2. They were a smidge too big, so I placed these heel cushions from Aldo to prevent my feet from sliding around. I had no issues of my feet slipping off after that improvement. However, if you are smaller than a 5 I would recommend you try it on in the store, as it might be too big. Currently they are 50% off so get them while they last!
Happy Shopping!
