Hi Loves!
So excited to share with y’all my favorite pair of work pants and a timeless outfit that is perfect for spring layering! I wear this outfit when I need a simple polished go to look with minimal effort. I wore this outfit last weekend while we were in NYC! Isn’t Grand Central a beaut?
This easy breathable gingham shirt is light and perfect for spring days layered with this blazer or even as a casual summer cover up. Because who doesn’t like classic gingham. You can get it here, (on me in petite xxs) currently on sale and fits tts. My blazer is one of my favorites in the gorgeous camel shade in Petite 00, currently on sale here. The fit is tts and the material doesn’t feel restrictive or tight. They are sold out on J. Crew’s website but I did find it on the factory website in regular and the black in petite is available as well. If you do end up buying the regular and the fit is a little off, some minor alterations won’t be too hard on the wallet if you buy it on sale.
On to the pants!
These are my go to for work and for even for casual wear since they are stretchier than jeans and have more give for that all day comfort. I have them in every color known to man and they were in heavy rotation when I didn’t have to wear scrubs to work. I love the fit and comfort of these pants and even though a lot buyers say they run small, they stretch, so I would stay within your normal size range.
Measurements
On me in 00p short
waist: sits mid rise and is 7″ high
inseam: 26”
They hit me perfectly at the ankle and are prefect to pair with heels, sandals or in my case boots. Thank you NYC weather for that.
A few things that I noticed regarding the Sloan style is depending on the cut and style of the sloan pants, the fit will differ. I’ve had the most success with these Sloan Fit Ankle Pants and they saw me through PA school and well into my clinic days. I have altered the fitting in the seat and thighs to make them slimmer since I like my pants to be fitted, however, it’s not necessary that you would have to do the same. I haven’t gotten around to altering every pair and still wear them on a regular basis. Also, these are currently on sale, get them here!
They are labeled as dry clean only, however, I experimented with them and stuck them in washer on the gentle cycle. They were fine as long as you take care to not place them in the dryer.
Happy Shopping loves!
